BRIEF:
To modernise and update a tired chalet bungalow and create a primary suite within the loft space.
This outdated chalet bungalow was in need of modernisation and a major design overhaul. It was dark and outdated and energy inefficient.
We reinsulated the roof and added solar panels and an air sourced heat pump to maximise energy efficiency and exceed industry heating standards.
The front and rear gardens were re-designed to create additional parking as well as re designing the rear of the house to create an indoor outdoor lifestyle aesthetic. The ground floor space was opened up to give the kitchen diner full views of the garden space and the glazing created the through flow in Summer months.
All bedrooms were given an ensuite and the primary suite was designed into the loft level to maximise space.
The newly designed central stairwell brought light cascading through the centre of the house through the main rooflight.
The exterior of the house was given a new façade and large format glazing gave the house a modern aesthetic.
